Baptist Church

Our History
September 10, 1969
Under sponsor from the Grace Baptist Church.
"Whereas we believe there is a need for a church in this community, and whereas we believe we have found God's Divine guidance, after prayer, and have consulted with fellow Christians and neighboring churches, and has called a council to consider this matter, and the council has recommended that we proceed with the constituting of the new church, be it therefore resolved that we do now enter upon the organization of a new Baptist Church under the direction of the council composed of the new members of the Southern Baptist churches represented here tonight.
Be it further resolved that we adopt the following: The Church Covenant as printed in our Baptist Hymnal. The Baptist Faith and Message adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in Kansas City, Missouri in 1963.
Be it resolved that our name shall be The Alexandria Bay Baptist Church. Be it further resolved that these resolutions be signed by all Charter members and that this document be preserved with the official records. Be it further resolved that this church cooperate with the Adirondack Association of the State of New York, and the Southern Baptist Convention.
Be it further resolved that this church participate in the cooperative mission endeavors of the Southern Baptists, giving 8% for the Cooperative Program and 7% for the Associational Missions, of our total budget.
Be it further resolved that our gratitude is expressed to the sponsoring Churching and to God for His Divine guidance."
